Put on a Happy Face – Weekend’s Almost Here

by

Good afternoon all, the weather isn’t great today but sometimes that just doesn’t matter because, pleasantly enough, it’s pretty much the start of the weekend already. We’ve had a good week, but today we’re just a little sad because we’re losing Denis from RMA. He’s moving on to greener pastures and we wish him every success 🙂 It won’t be the same working here without him, but as long as he’s happy, so are we.

You can see why we'll miss him :) He livened the place up.

Anyway, for those of you unfamiliar with our usual Friday afternoon piece, we just tend to throw up a few bits and pieces that try to get people a bit of a smile for during their last couple of hours of work on a Friday night.

All sentimentality aside, this is a post for big smiles, so hopefully you guys will enjoy this. For anyone who’s played Half-Life or Half-Life 2 this one is well worth a look. Some charming man took what we can only assume was a significant amount of time out of his life to sit down and re-record every single sound in Half-Life (with the exception of the NPC voices and some very minor physics) using nothing but his own voice. It’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a very, very long time.

It’s one of those things that’s certainly inspired us to check out Half-Life 2 all over again, which is commendable.

The last image in this week’s post is of a vampire skydiving, which was just unusual enough for us to absolutely fall in love with it.

Perhaps the best part of this picture is that it cautions people not to skydive barefoot. Solid advice there :)

Alright everyone, we hope you have an excellent weekend and that Monday stays away for as long as possible under whatever model of physics/quantum mechanics you subscribe to. Until then, we’ll be on the @Komplettie twitter as much as possible to field questions and talk to people who have any queries 🙂
