Happy new year everyone, hopefully you’re all as warm and well as we are here, despite the icy conditions surrounding Komplett towers. The big thaw is on, everyone is back to work and with it we’ve got some special offers we thoughts you might be interested in… for the “back to work” vibe.
This week, we’ve got a gorgeous display, a graphics card and a netbook bundle on offer. We won’t stall any longer, here are the products themselves.
Samsung 21.5” LCD Syncmaster 2233SN:
Samsung’s flair for design is something that comes up time and time again when we talk about displays. The fact is that they’re not the cheapest when it comes to hardware, but the kit is well worth the asking price when you factor in how good it looks.
Samsung’s Syncmaster 2233SN is a 21.5-inch, widescreen display with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080, which should mean you’re not hampered at all when it comes to viewing high-definition content or playing games. The response time is low at 5ms, so sports fans and gamers should be well catered to.
The case is a glossy black, tapering to a transparent bevel along the bottom of the display, with a nice, slim stand to prop the whole thing up. It’s relatively simple, but gives the whole affair a classy kind of a feel that many other displays don’t quite manage.
Samsung’s Syncmaster 2233SN has been dropped to €144.99 this week, which isn’t a bad old deal at all.
EVGA GeForce GT 240 1GB:
We try to offer graphics cards as special offers as often as possible, since there’s always someone out there looking to pick up a new card or replace an old one… and if we tempt someone into upgrading a little early then what harm?
As I end up saying almost every time we talk about graphics hardware on the blog, since most people looking at cards are interested in different things about the card they’re curious about. Still, I generally do a quick run down of the various hardware involved, for the curious. The Geoforce GT 240 boasts 1GB of GDDR3 RAM and a clock speed of 550MHz. It’s got a maximum output resolution of 2560 x 1600 too and HDMI output, which is nothing to be sneezed at. As well you might expect, it’s a PCI Express 2.0 card.
Anyway, for this week the EVGA GeForce GT240 1GB is down to €89, which isn’t bad at all.
Samsung NC20 Pack:
Samsung’s NC20 has been a worthy successor to its award winning NC10 netbook. This pack includes the NC20, a Targus Value Case and a Logitech RX250 optical mouse.
The netbook is a simple enough arrangement, boasting a full size keyboard, a 1.3GHz VIA processor, 1GB of RAM and a 1.3 megapixel webcam built in, which isn’t a bad old deal at all. Moreover, like the NC10 it boasts a full-sized keyboard, for those who feel as though a normal netbook keyboard might be a little too restrictive to type on. The addition of a full-sized board makes it a lot more usable for students who’ll be spending a lot of time taking notes too.
The whole affair is eminently portable thanks to the fact that it’s only 12.1” across. It’s a little bigger than some other netbooks, but the extra bit of screen will suit some better than a smaller display might.
The whole bundle is just €399, which is a solid deal for anyone on the lookout for a new netbook. If you’d like more detail, you can check out the products individually on the product page for the pack 🙂
